WOODWAWA MARKETPLACE POLICIES
1. Marketplace Overview
Woodwawa Network is a marketplace platform that connects buyers with independent furniture manufacturers, artisans, and suppliers.
Woodwawa:
-
Does not manufacture products
-
Does not take ownership of listed products
-
Does not directly provide warranties
Woodwawa facilitates referrals, payment verification, and dispute communication between buyers and sellers.
Each seller is an independent business entity responsible for their products and services.
2. Seller Performance Standards
All sellers referred or verified through Woodwawa must comply with the following operational standards:
2.1 Product Accuracy
Sellers must ensure that:
-
Product descriptions accurately reflect materials used.
-
Images represent actual workmanship.
-
Measurements, finishing, and structural details match agreed specifications.
Minor variations in handcrafted products are acceptable where they do not affect functionality.
2.2 Communication Standards
Sellers must:
-
Confirm order specifications before production.
-
Communicate production timelines clearly.
-
Notify buyers promptly in case of delays.
Repeated failure to meet communication standards may result in suspension from the platform.
2.3 Production & Custom Orders
For custom-made items:
-
A deposit may be required before production begins.
-
Deposits are non-refundable once materials are purchased or production has started.
-
Order modifications must be requested within 12 hours of confirmation.
Late modifications may result in additional costs or delays.
2.4 Delivery & Fulfillment
Sellers are responsible for:
-
Coordinating delivery
-
Safe handling of goods
-
Installation where applicable
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary depending on material availability and workload.
Sellers retain ownership of goods until full payment is completed.
3. Payment Policy
To ensure transaction transparency:
-
All payments must be made via Woodwawa’s official MPESA Paybill.
-
Buyers must forward payment confirmation to both Woodwawa and the seller.
-
Cash payments are not accepted.
Failure to follow the official payment process may void buyer protection coverage.
Woodwawa may earn referral commissions from sellers. This does not increase the price paid by buyers.
4. Buyer Responsibilities
4.1 Inspection at Delivery
Buyers are required to inspect products upon delivery.
Concerns must be reported within 24 hours of delivery, accompanied by supporting documentation (photos and receipt copy).
Failure to report within 24 hours may be deemed acceptance of the product in satisfactory condition.
4.2 Accurate Measurements
Buyers are responsible for providing correct measurements and ensuring property accessibility for large furniture items.
Refunds may not apply where errors arise from incorrect information provided by the buyer.
4.3 Storage & Collection
Items not collected within 7 days of agreed delivery date may attract storage charges.
Unclaimed items after 30 days may be considered abandoned and may be resold.
5. Warranty Policy
Where offered by the seller:
-
A 7-day repair-only workmanship warranty applies from delivery date.
-
Warranty covers manufacturing defects only.
-
Warranty excludes:
-
Normal wear and tear
-
Scratches or fading
-
Water or heat damage
-
Improper maintenance
-
Unauthorized modifications
-
Warranty claims require:
-
Clear photographic evidence
-
Receipt copy
-
Order verification
Warranty repairs are subject to seller assessment.
Woodwawa facilitates communication but does not directly provide warranty services.
6. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute:
-
Woodwawa will facilitate communication between buyer and seller.
-
Solutions may include repair arrangements, partial compensation recommendations, or negotiated outcomes.
Woodwawa is not legally liable for third-party actions or final transaction outcomes.
Repeated seller non-compliance may result in removal from the verified seller list.
7. Platform Integrity & Compliance
Sellers may be suspended or removed for:
-
Misrepresentation
-
Repeated complaints
-
Failure to honor agreed specifications
-
Payment bypass attempts
-
Fraudulent behavior
Buyer feedback may be used to determine seller ranking and platform visibility.
8. Transparency & Community Engagement
Woodwawa promotes marketplace transparency through partnership with FundiX and community accountability initiatives such as MLIKA Fundi.
Community resale listings are independent transactions and are not covered under Woodwawa buyer protection policies.
