These Seller Guidelines form part of the Woodwawa Marketplace Policies and operate together with the official receipt terms issued for every verified transaction.
All sellers listed, referred, or verified through Woodwawa must comply with the following standards.
1. Independent Seller Status
Each seller operating through Woodwawa:
- Is an independent business entity.
- Retains full responsibility for product quality, delivery, installation, and after-sale service.
- Retains ownership of goods until full payment is completed.
Woodwawa acts solely as a marketplace facilitator and payment verification platform.
2. Product Representation Standards
Sellers must:
- Accurately describe materials used (e.g., mahogany, cypress, MDF, metal).
- Provide authentic images of actual workmanship.
- Clearly state production timelines and pricing terms.
Misrepresentation, copied images, or misleading information is prohibited.
Minor variations in handcrafted furniture are acceptable where they do not affect structural integrity or usability.
3. Production & Custom Order Compliance
Sellers must:
- Confirm order specifications before commencing production.
- Honor agreed timelines where possible.
- Notify buyers promptly of delays.
Deposits become non-refundable once materials are purchased or production has started, as stated in the receipt terms.
4. Delivery & Installation Responsibility
Sellers are responsible for:
- Coordinating safe transportation.
- Proper packaging.
- Professional installation where applicable.
Delivery timelines are estimates and may vary due to material sourcing or logistical constraints.
5. Warranty & Repair Obligations
Where a seller offers a 7-day workmanship warranty:
- Defects must be assessed professionally.
- Repair obligations must be honored within reasonable time.
- Warranty exclusions must follow the receipt terms.
If damage falls outside warranty coverage, repair fees may apply.
6. Communication Standards
Sellers must:
- Maintain respectful communication.
- Avoid aggressive or unprofessional conduct.
- Respond promptly to buyer inquiries.
Repeated communication failures may affect seller ranking.
7. Payment Compliance
All payments must follow official Woodwawa MPESA procedures.
Sellers must not:
- Redirect buyers to alternative payment methods.
- Attempt to bypass platform processes.
- Engage in off-platform transaction diversion.
Violations may result in suspension or permanent removal.
8. Storage & Abandonment Policy
If items remain uncollected:
- Storage fees may apply after 7 days.
- Items may be deemed abandoned after 30 days.
- Seller reserves right to resell abandoned goods.
9. Performance Monitoring & Enforcement
Woodwawa may:
- Monitor seller complaint frequency.

Sellers are expected to uphold integrity standards within and outside the platform.
